The Prehospital Trauma Life Support(PHTLS) course is designed for all levels of prehospital care provider personnel. The target audience includes: EMT’s, first responders (fire, police, search & rescue, etc.), paramedics, nurses (including Industrial based Occupational Health Nurses), physicians, and physician assistants.
The PHTLS Course provides the prehospital care provider with specific knowledge and skills related to assessment and care, increasing the probability of a victim surviving a traumatic event. The course is scenario based, with lectures and interactive skills stations designed to impart knowledge and proficiency, dependent on level of licensure.
